Party at Stern Grove Summer Concerts - San Francisco

Free summer concerts can never be a bad thing. But set these concerts against the backdrop of a San Franciscan summer and you have the makings for a magical evening outdoors. The Sigmund Stern Recreation Grove is a beautiful 33 acre site that is located between 19th Avenue and Sloat Avenue. Since 1938, these summer concerts have taken place in the beautiful redwood and eucalyptus-wooded natural amphitheater. There is lush forest and lakes dotted around the area.

The Stern Grove Festival has been dedicated to providing San Franciscans with free access to a diverse range of performing arts. Luckily, it is not only locals who benefit from this. In a city that is known for being expensive, a free evening’s entertainment comes as a welcome relief. It costs absolutely nothing.

There are also several hiking trails through the park which make for a lovely diversion from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. It is so peaceful here and a great place to hike, bike or walk your dogs.
