Dillon Beach
Dillon Beach is situated approximately 1hour and 15 minutes north of San Francisco, 4 miles west of Highway 101, on the Pacific Coast of Marin County.
Dillon Beach is absolutely stunning with white sand, tide pools, safe surf and dunes. Nestled in the hills between Tomales Bay and Bodega Bay, Dillon Beach has spectacular ocean views, wonderful surfing, fishing, and strolling on the gorgeous pristine beach. It is a small beach and fishing community which mostly features vacation accommodation as a trade. Dillon Beach community services are fed from the nearby cities which also provide education and medical care. This tranquil community is a hidden jewel which has an old world charm. Small bistros and restaurants are found all along the coast line.
Outdoor activities and attractions are abundant in the area. For those that like hiking, Point Reyes National Sea Shore offers 64,000 acres of trails and over 400 species of water and land wildlife, and also has amazing views over the ocean from this location. Other activities in the area are canoeing through redwood trees and coastal mountains of the Russian River Valley, and a visit to Muir Woods which offer level paved trails under redwoods and bay trees. Within a short drive the world famous vineyards of Napa Valley and Sonoma beckon visitors to enjoy fabulous seafood restaurants, and there are also great outlet and antique stores.
There are over 20 splendid golf courses located in the area for golfers to enjoy their favorite pastime.
