Los Gatos, meaning “cats” in Spanish, is situated at the western edge of Santa Clara Valley near San Jose, and nestles in the Santa Cruz Mountains. From these mountains it is a 20 minute drive to the Pacific Coast and to Santa Cruz’s beach boardwalk, and 15 minute drive either way to the town of San Jose and San Jose International Airport.

Los Gatos is a beautiful, charming and historic town, and is one of the most prestigious and desirable residential communities in the Silicone Valley area. Located within greenbelt and park areas, Los Gatos is a picturesque town. It has outstanding schools, a strong sense of community pride, and a lively cultural and historic background. Beautiful Victorian architecture grace the town’s wide tree shaded streets which is pedestrian friendly. The town boasts an art museum, antique shops, luxury hotels and art galleries. There are lots of sidewalk cafes and coffee shops, local and international brand clothing stores, and an excellent choice of dining venues, and entertainment spots.

There are many attractions and activities to enjoy, such as a visit to Lexington Reservoir County Park. This park which has a 475 acre reservoir is a hive of activity for boating and fishing, swimming is however not permitted. Los Gatos Creek Trail is a nine mile trail that offer opportunity to enjoy hiking, biking, and exploring nature.
