Situated just north of San Francisco, in Marin County California, the scenic affluent town of Tiburon is located. It is easily reached within 20 minutes from Golden Gate Bridge by car or bus via Highway 101 and Highway 131, and is just 25 minutes from San Francisco by high speed ferry.

Tiburon, meaning “shark” in Spanish, has grown from a sleepy fishing village into a desirable tourist destination. It is a quaint town with picturesque streets, and Main Street and Ark Row feature many historical buildings. There is an assortment of excellent shops, art galleries, charming boutiques, and fine restaurants which caters for a variety of culinary tastes. Tiburon’s restaurants are all non smoking. During spring and summer, on Friday evenings, Main Street is closed off and transformed into an al fresco dining area with live music and entertainment.

This fabulous sailing town has numerous attractions to explore as well as activities for all to participate in. Waterfront Park offer great walking / hiking and bike paths with stunning views of San Francisco and the boats in the bay. Angel Island is a short ride by ferry and is a haven for nature lovers. Richardson Bay Sanctuary offer excellent opportunity to observe wildlife.

The town has a Heritage & Arts Commission which objectives are to preserve and advance Tiburon’s unique arts, culture and history. Tiburon hosts annual events such as sailing races, the Tiburon Wine Festival and the Tiburon Film Festival.
